Culture & Development Studies: Cusco, Peru

Highlights: Real projects...real experience! Engage in service projects, field research, and academic courses while living in Cusco, Peru.

Work side by side with local community members, watch the sun rise over Machu Picchu, hike the Inca Trail, and explore rural villages. Community development projects, field work, and adventure activities complement classes, creating an integrated program experience.

Home stay accommodations, Spanish language classes, and cultural excursions facilitate improved language fluency and full immersion in the richness of Peruvian life. This is the semester of a lifetime!

Qualifications: Completion of 1 year of university studies, 1 semester of university level Spanish, or equivalent, and an adventurous spirit.

    Cost Include Description:
    Program fees support our host community economies in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments, and local purchases.

    Semester program fees include: tuition and fees, books and supplies, full room and board, health & travel insurance, domestic transportation, daily Spanish classes, and funding of development projects.

    The program fee also includes multiple trips to Incan ruins, cultural activities, visits to rural communities, and hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu.
