Internships in London

  England
  • London:
  • London

Term: Fall, Spring, Summer
Dates: Fall, Spring, Summer

Description: A semester-long study program that combines eight-credit internships with coursework carrying an additional eight credit hours. The internships are supported by related coursework throughout the semester and provide a solid work experience. Students get a window on the world of work, a sample of life as a team player, and an unforgettable opportunity to explore what it's like to live and work in a foreign country.

Highlights: During the fall and spring semesters, students take two academic courses along with the internship (students on summer programs take only one course). Faculty from leading London area universities and institutes such as the London School of Economics, the University of Kent at Canterbury, the University of Sussex, and the Royal College of Music teach these courses exclusively for our interns. Schedule differences between American semesters and the three-term British academic calendar do not permit our students to take regular British university courses easily, although they are taught in classrooms in the London School of Economics and Birkbeck College of the University of London, and students are enrolled in the University of London Senate House Library and Student Union. Several of the London internships are paired with one required course and students choose one elective course.
