Description: This internship program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, novice professionals who have an academic or professional background in some area of media communication, journalism or related fields and/or those who seek to enhance their careers with an insight to Latin American Media.

You can elect to work in Print, Broadcast Journalism (newspaper, magazine, online TV or Radio) or Public Relations Agencies. In short, our journalism internship is very flexible and will set you on the right track for your ambitions.

Highlights: You will participate in the daily routine of a news media company. You will get involved in their daily tasks.

Depending on your interests and skills, you can work as a reporter, editor, photographer, broadcaster, and/or graphic designer. You'll work side-by-side with the staff, gathering stories, researching, taking photos, writing pieces, going into the field, coming up with your own story ideas, projects, etc. How much you get out of this placement, will greatly depend upon how much you put in.

Qualifications: Although this placement is open to students, undergraduate and recent graduate students, no previous experience is necessary. Nevertheless, an intermediate level of Spanish is required.

Participants with the following qualifications are particularly wanted:
- Good knowledge and use of Microsoft software tools.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Real interest in media and journalism issues
- Outgoing personality and sense of humor.
- Creative abilities

General requirements
* Min age 18
* Minimum 2.5 month commitment - 30+ hours a week.
* Intermediate Spanish (Lessons available)
