Description: We are in contact with several leading publications, agencies and studios in Cape Town and can facilitate a wide range of internships, including journalism and photo-journalism opportunities at both newspapers and magazines, helping with account management, writing press releases and coordinating events for top PR firms and advertising agencies, and working in photography and film studios. We have also created unique "journalist in residence" positions at select human rights-related organizations. Past Connect-123 students have published frequently.

Highlights: For all programs, we provide substantial local support, including relatively high end, secure housing, logistics support, and regular social programs (ranging from cultural tours to community service activities). We also advise program participants prior to departure and provide ongoing support and guidance once in Cape Town, from academic advice and mentoring to hands-on help in case of an emergency.
