Description: The Village Contact Intern will work with the support of a Delhi based team to create a new template for rural development in India. The project will challenge the current build it and they will come approach that accompanies masterminded infrastructure. The plan is to accelerate natural growth by supporting entrepreneurship, and mobilizing communities to own their future.

A strategy has been developed at Drishtee's main office in Delhi, and an intern is needed to run the pilot. The intern will spend two weeks in Delhi, and an additional 10-12 weeks living and working in a village in Northern India. The intern will have the full support of Drishtee, but will have to have the motivation and initiative to get things done on the field.

The intern will have to understand community dynamics, organize the village, identify problems, offer solutions, and document progress. The end products will be a community that can recognize critical needs, and profitable businesses run by local entrepreneurs that address them.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree Required, MBA Preferred
- Interest in Rural Development

Typical Volunteer: A typical volunteer is well educated, passionate about rural development, and eager to get things done. Initiative is a must.
