Dates: Throughout the year. Participants should plan to arrive on a Sunday.
Description:
Our internship program in Argentina provides currently enrolled university students and recent graduates the chance to gain valuable professional experience in an extremely diverse Latin American country. We offer a variety of placements in either Buenos Aires or Córdoba, where participants will have many opportunities to both explore these picturesque cities and experience the rich culture of the Argentine people. AIDE believes that cultural exchange builds a tolerance and an understanding for circumstances and societies that are different from our own. Our aim is to build a worldwide community of global citizens who will be part of an ongoing intercultural conversation. Welcome aboard, and we hope that you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience. ** Participants acceptance into this internship program is dependent upon their level of education, their professional experience, and their proficiency in the Spanish language.
Highlights:
Accommodations: During their internships, participants will live with an Argentine family either by themselves or with a small group of other interns in their city. Participants will be provided with 2 meals per day, from Monday to Saturday (no meals will be provided on Sundays). Even though some host families may be able to launder participants clothes, participants should plan to spend around 4.50 USD per week on laundry. In addition, although living with a host family will give participants an invaluable insight into life in an Argentine family, participants may also choose to live in a student residence facility on a local school campus (for an additional fee). If participants are interested in this option, they should contact AIDE for more details. Language Classes: For those who need them, optional language classes are available in Buenos Aires. Classes are held prior to the start of participants' internships, and participants will be placed in a small group to receive lessons. These classes include home stay accommodations and 2 meals per day, except for Sundays. Language classes are a great way to be introduced to a new country and to improve participants' command of the Spanish language.
