Description:
Our internship in Australia is designed for University students and recent graduates who want to compliment their studies with structured training in the workplace. The goal of this program is for interns to better understand their industry, distinguish their CV with professional workplace experience in an English-speaking country, and gain confidence within their field of expertise.

Highlights:
Internship placement
Participants will be placed in an internship that relates to their field of study. Participants' responsibilities as interns will depend on a variety of factors such as their previous experience in their field of study, their educational background, and their command of the English language.

Structured training plan
The involved host companies and AIDE will prepare a structured training plan for each participant that will include the company information, location, duties/responsibilities, reporting structure, and other relevant information.

Orientation
Interns will participate in a mandatory orientation, taking place ONLY in Sydney, shortly after their arrival in Australia. The orientation is usually held three days a week and provides useful information about the Australian workplace and culture, as well as information about the participants host companies. Participants will be divided into groups of 1 to 5 to allow for discussion and the opportunity to ask questions and address concerns.

** Participants are only required to go to one 3-4 hour-long session.

Accommodations
Participants first two nights in a hostel are included with the program, but participants are more than welcome to stay longer at their own expense. The hostel that participants will be staying in is centrally located, so participants will have the opportunity explore Sydney a little. Hostels are a great setting in which to meet new people.

Two options are available for housing during the course of the internship: a home stay or a shared apartment.
* A home stay can be arranged ONLY if your internship is located in Sydney.
* Participants can also find a shared apartment on their own, and we will provide participants with useful resources to start their searches.

Australian resource center
AIDEs resource center is centrally located near Sydneys Hyde Park. All participants are welcome to use free internet for up to half an hour every day. Participants can also get information from the staff about tour bookings and travel discounts.

Regular social events
In Sydney only, AIDE organizes monthly social and cultural activities for all participants. This may include BBQs, movie nights, pub nights, and informal get-togethers.
