Producer/Promoter Internship The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009 Purpose This internship with Green Room Presents during The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009 offers the opportunity to attend in excess of 60 shows during The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009 with the primary purpose of scouting for shows to transfer to our New York City theatres and for world-wide touring. The intern will observe and work in the field of producing, promoting, literary management and dramaturgical research, script analysis and production support. It also provides an opportunity to participate in myriad activities associated with the functioning of a producer/promoter of a professional entertainment company. What to Expect Interns work as assistants to managing director in general. The duties of each intern vary, but a general list of potential tasks includes: reviewing shows at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009 for internal usage; conducting on-line research; dramatic text analysis, editing and compiling different editions of a script; assisting in the writing, editing, and and other publications; reading and reporting on reviews; at times observing rehearsals; participating in educational programs; and performing general administrative and clerical tasks, such as copying and organizing materials. Qualifications:
Prerequisites The intern should have good writing and communication skills, a strong background in literature (especially drama), and experience in research. Candidates should also have a special interest in the process of transferring theatrical productions to commercial runs, tours film and television. Word processing skills and basic computer competence are highly desirable. Time Commitment A commitment of one month is needed, with an average of 20 - 30 hours of work per week. Currently seeking Interns who are available 1 August 2009 to 31 August 2009.

Purpose:
This internship with Green Room Presents during The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010 offers the opportunity to attend in excess of 60 shows during The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010 with the primary purpose of scouting for shows to transfer to our New York City theatres and for world-wide touring. The intern will observe and work in the field of producing, promoting, literary management and dramaturgical research, script analysis, media relations, street promotions, general admin, client liaison and production support. It also provides an opportunity to participate in myriad activities associated with the functioning of a producer/promoter of a professional entertainment company.
