Description: This Group is a multi-disciplinary professional firm offering a diverse range of advertising, marketing and management consultancy services. They operate throughout the West African sub-region as well as having numerous overseas clients with interests in the West African sub-region. This organisation relishes pushing the boundaries of creativity in Ghana by communicating compelling messages across all media in innovative ways. They therefore represent a significant departure from traditional approaches to advertising in Ghana, as a result of their professional understanding of brands and marketing opportunities. The company was established by Jeff Kankam, Natasha Olympio and Michael Casely-Hayford. Michael helped to define the advertising landscape in Ghana as the former CEO of Icon Communications - one of Ghana's leading advertising agency and media production companies with clients such as Accra Brewery, British Airways, Voltic, PZ Cussons and Taylor Woodrow. Natasha established her credentials and extensive network of decision-makers as Icon's Director of Client Services for over 10 years. During this time, she built a reputation of fiercely protecting her client's highest standards without compromise. Jeff has over 20 years experience working with multi-national corporations in the UK, USA, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal. He has developed and managed successful businesses throughout West-Africa.

Highlights: The Intern:
The Advertising & Marketing Group requires a film editor to assist foreign and local clients to assemble the final product as a sequence consisting of shots from the raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects and graphics. The ideal person who would Intern with the Group would be someone with reasonable experience and a keen interest in film editing.

The role will include some or all of the following:
- Assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer;
- Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronising and storing them into files on the computer;
- Digitally cutting the files to determine the sequence of the film and determining what is usable;
- Consulting with the client throughout the process;
- Selecting the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance or continuity;
- Re-ordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the production.

Qualifications: Interns should have reasonable experience in film editing and have a personal laptop and software to be used for editing. The Film Editor will be familiar with computer and digital editing systems and have the ability to work under minimal supervision. You should also demonstrate a commitment to top-quality work and to continuing to improve your own skills and knowledge.
