This Architecture firm is a design and development firm specializing in 'inno-native' solutions in architecture and product and materials design. They are based in Accra, LA and Washington and are working on a wide range of products from, high end condos through mobile food carts to affordable housing. They are entering manufacturing with their pozzolana cement starting next year. Constructs LLC is dedicated to fostering collaborations with creative Professionals in developing sustainable solutions to affordable housing, community/neighborhood planning, educational infrastructure prototypes, alternative construction materials e.g. adobe, bamboo, thatch and pozzolana, and product design amongst others.
Highlights:
Constructs LLC are looking for committed students or recent graduates to come and share their knowledge, skills and ideas with the staff and the Ghanaian interns. The main role of the intern will be to conduct research and to assist with projects. Interns must be willing to undertake a range of duties and work as part of a team and to gain work experience and skills within a leading African architectural organization. You may be required to help with some or all of the following:
- Research information and material for the website
- Acting as a point of contact taking calls, dealing with visitors and errand-running
- Working with excel / word documents
- Assisting with specific projects
- Creating and maintaining the archives.
