This Architecture firm is a design and development firm specializing in 'inno-native' solutions in architecture and product and materials design. They are based in Accra, LA and Washington and are working on a wide range of products from, high end condos through mobile food carts to affordable housing. They are entering manufacturing with their pozzolana cement starting next year. Constructs LLC is dedicated to fostering collaborations with creative Professionals in developing sustainable solutions to affordable housing, community/neighborhood planning, educational infrastructure prototypes, alternative construction materials e.g. adobe, bamboo, thatch and pozzolana, and product design amongst others.
Highlights:
Constructs LLC requires an office administrator to organize and supervise all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the office. The role will include some or all of the following:
- Research information and material for the website
- Organizing office operations and procedures
- Maintaining office equipment
- Ensuring filing systems are maintained and up to date
- Ensuring personnel files are up to date and secure
- Maintaining and replenishing inventory by anticipating needed supplies
- Organizing office maintenance and repair work;
- Supervising the implementation of new office systems
Qualifications:
The intern must demonstrate an interest in architecture. Interns should have excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work with a team. You should also be able to take initiative and demonstrate good problem-solving skills. The intern must have good IT skills, especially a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
