Creative Boost Internship
Canada
Term: Throughout the year
Dates: Open
Description:
Creative Boost welcomes interns and volunteers throughout the year. Selected applicants will have the unique opportunity to be immersed in the daily life of an urban art space. They will be a part of a friendly and collaborative environment, where a free, organic meal is served daily at lunchtime. The Creative Boost staff is perfectly bilingual (French and English), which is a definite advantage for those who wish to improve their communication skills in both languages. According to their home university's regulations, interns may earn academic credit for an internship. We can deliver a certificate or a letter of recommendation. No internship will be remunerated. However, interns working at Creative Boost for a minimum of 3 months will be given a 50% discount for art and language courses.
Highlights:
The studio houses a kitchen designed to provide organic, vegetarian meals every day. A variety of foods, free of preservatives, lactose, gluten, and chemical additives, are offered. Meals are a community event, giving students an opportunity to socialize with each other. Homemade snacks are also available for purchase. Located in the heart of downtown Montreal, Creative Boost is surrounded by all the cultural activity the city has to offer. Montreal is distinguished by its multiculturalism, and has two official languages (French and English). This global context is the basis of a lively cultural scene that organizes a wide range of events, such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival, and the International Film Festival all at a short walking distance from Creative Boost. Creative Boost is also adjacent to the Musée dArt Contemporain, Place des Arts, McGill University, Concordia University, and other major museums and institutions. The studio is in close proximity to the many outdoor cafes and art galleries of the Old Port, the recreational activities offered by Mont Royal, and the vibrant nightlife of Boulevard Saint Laurent. In addition, Creative Boost shares a building with diverse artistic organizations, such as a children's theater company and the headquarters of IMUSICI, a major symphony orchestra.
