All hotel jobs - reception/front desk, kitchen, housekeeping, restaurants, bars etc. The UK Study & Work Experience programme is an ideal opportunity for both EU and non-EU students to upgrade their English language skills not only in a class-room situation but also in an everyday working environment, while at the same time earning money to subsidise living expenses: Citizens of the EU and Switzerland do not require a Visa or Work Permit to take up salaried employment in the United Kingdom. (EU Member States: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom). Non-EU citizens require a STUDENT VISA to enter and work in the United Kingdom, granted by your nearest British Embassy. Our UK Study & Work Experience programme offers paid hotel work and leads to the Cambridge Certificate in Work Experience or the Advanced Certificate in Work Experience. As this is a recognised training programme, it is the best and quickest way to apply for and be granted a Student Visa. Do you need a Visa? Minimum age: 18+ years Courses starts: 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (every Monday during May-July). Available through the year. Course duration: 22 weeks (7 weeks Introduction and General English Course, followed by 12 weeks paid Work Experience, followed by 3 weeks completion and preparation of the documentation for the Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) examination for award of the Certificate in Work Experience or the Advanced Certificate in Work Experience. This format is known as a sandwich course and is recognised for Visa purposes and thus ideal for non-EU students. Students usually continue working and earning until the expiration of their 6 month visa. Even then, it may be possible to obtain an extension. English Level: Intermediate level. In order to start a hotel work placement, participants must have the required Level 5 IELTS on speaking skills at the completion of the study part of the programme. Certification: Certificate in Work Experience or Advanced Certificate in Work Experience accredited by the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES).
Highlights:
The UK Study & Work Experience programme has been specially designed for students wishing to improve their English language skills while at the same time gaining practical work experience in the UK Hospitality Industry. The all-inclusive 22 week programme includes: - 10 weeks English Language Course in the afternoons at our British Council school in Brighton/Hove - Cambridge Work Experience Certificate examination preparation - Cambridge Certificate (UCLES) examination fee - 10 weeks half-board in shared homestay accommodation in Brighton/Hove - Hotel or internship work placement fee - UK minimum salary: £GB164.00 - £GB194.00 gross per week during hotel employment - Staff accommodation and meals during hotel employment - Monitoring and Supervision during the Programme - N.B. EU Students with Level 5 IELTS on speaking skills will be able to start a work placement immediately at significantly reduced cost. This is because there are no visa requirements, mandatory English course, or corresponding accommodation costs.
Qualifications:
Internship Programmes are designed for graduate and under graduate students 18 to 28 years with a minimum English language level of Intermediate. Students who do not already have the required level of Intermediate English may first enroll at one of our English language schools.
