Term: Throughout the year
Dates: Starts every month of the year

Description: ProWorld Service Corps' customized, hands-on internships match your skills and interests with our host communities self-determined development goals. Apply your talents to meaningful sustainable development projects in the health care, environment, or social and economic development sectors. Gain relevant, pre-professional experiences as you contribute to grassroots development projects working side-by-side with local NGOs and community groups.

Supported internships in ProIndia host communities with cultural classes, excursions, and group living. You will live in communities near a ProIndia office and 4 to 18 other NGO Interns, work alone or in small groups, and receive extensive staff support. ProIndia offers cultural visits to palaces and temples, local parks, and cultural events. Based on duration of program, excursions may include: visiting Brindavan Gardens, an array of fountains and manicured gardens and the backdrop for many Bollywood films, tours of Mysore including the multiple palaces of the Wodeyar dynasty, climbing up to Indias largest free-standing statue at the sacred Jain pilgrimage site of Sravanabelagola, exploring a Tibetan refugee settlement community with its Golden Temple and Tibetan culture, participating in remote community cultural events and celebrations, short term weekend development projects. During free weekends, volunteers can also plan their own adventures.

Programs are highly supported by an international staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the field of sustainable international development. Homestays, language study and cultural/adventure excursions encourage participants' complete immersion and cultural integration.

Further, ProWorld's on-site Project Coordinators work year round with our host communities assessing needs, thinking creatively, and setting long-term goals for sustainable development and volunteer participation. Programs start every month of the year and last from 2-26 weeks. Enroll now!
