This is a multi-disciplinary British project management consultancy providing engineering and construction services to international companies seeking to build, expand or refurbish facilities throughout China. With knowledge gained from over 150 projects we help our clients to complete their projects on time, within budget and to an optimal level of quality.
Highlights:
The Hutong School organizes internships in combination with Chinese classes for students, graduates and young professionals who want to gain working and living experience in China. We will organize an internship at a local or international company in Beijing, provide accommodation and teach you Chinese. Our services include:
- Internship placement
- Accommodation in single rooms in modern apartments in central Beijing.
- 2 hours of Chinese classes per day
- Airport pick-up.
- Assistance with the visa application and the registration in Beijing.
- Regular panels with Beijing's business elite, diplomats and journalists, who want to share their experience in China.

Qualifications:
Length: 6 months
Location: Beijing Internship description:
1. Identify, research and communicate with foreign companies operating in China that have plans for construction, expansion or refurbishment of their facilities.
2. Maintain and update database information based on calls made, look to update with new information and correct/replace invalid data.
3. Support the Business Development Team in maintaining ongoing relationships with prospective clients once a project has been identified. This may include attending subsequent meetings and presentations.
4. Develop Marketing/PR strategies to increase business.
5. Prepare Workshops/Presentations.
6. Utilize individual skills and abilities, such as IT or languages, on various administrative tasks, as and when needed. Requirements:
1. English language skills essential
2. Undertaking or have completed a Degree
3. Advantage if another language is spoken although not essential. This may include- German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Russian etc.
4. Excellent telecommunication and presentation skills.
5. Ability to learn quickly.
6. Self-motivated, team player, independent and able to take initiative.
