Description: The medical program is located in hospitals in Kenya. Volunteers on this program need to be registered medical doctors or nurses. Volunteers work with local doctors to assist with the daily medical routine - applying dressings, prescribing minor medication, recording patient history, patient consultations, minor surgeries record keeping, and counseling patients. Volunteers can work in the areas of maternal health, surgery, laboratories, dental clinics, counseling, and testing.

Objectivity: trained volunteers are needed to work in a community clinic to increase access to basic healthcare and promote health education in the local community

Rural home-stay internships
All those who want to experience the local rural life in Kenya and exchange their culture with the local people. The volunteer program locations   are all over Kenya

The costs you need to meet are:
Your air ticket to and from the country, visa fees, vaccinations, local travel costs, accommodation costs outside project and insurance. You will also need a weekly budget of around 10 euro to cover your expenses like bottled water, personal effects, public transport, beverages, entertainment and transport costs to and from project site.

Highlights: Volunteer Accommodation:
While volunteering, volunteers will be accommodated in either a home stay or dormitory situation. Host families have all been carefully selected to provide you with a safe family environment and an insight into Kenyan life.

A member of staff will meet you on arrival and help transport you to your location.

Cost in US$: 300

Application Fees: 60.00 euro. Application fees covers administration, program information, communication and the airport pick up. With the remainder of your fee due for payment eight weeks before you begin your placement.
