Interns assist the firm's staff and may have the opportunity to participate in technology development, design, and facilities manufacturing.

Pre-departure Support: ELI's expert staff will be happy to assist you with planning your tripAirport Pickup: Participants are met when they arrive at the airport in Shanghaiand brought to their accommodation In-Country Orientation: Each program starts with a 2-3 day orientation to help participants get their feet on the ground and able to navigate the city. In-country Staff Support: ELI's coordinator in Shanghai has years of experience working with international interns. He is very resourceful and on call 24/7 in case of emergency. Accommodations: Participants have a choice of accommodation including private apartments, shared apartments, and host families. Interns can choose the accommodation that best suits their individual needs
Salary / Pay: Some of the organizations accepting international interns may offer monthly stipends to offset the costs of living in Shanghai. To qualify for a position offering a stipend, interns must commit to at least 12 weeks with the program. The amount of the stipend varies, but it is usually enough to cover the cost of rent.
