Description:
The physical therapy center is dedicated to the rehabilitation of children who have cerebral palsy, autism, down's syndrome, and other physical and mental disabilities. Interns will assist the staff with the children's physical therapy. There are also opportunities to work with the center's psychologist or in the small special education school. The center also has an area dedicated to the rehabilitation of adults.

While working with a clinic in Peru not only will you gain experience in the medical field, you will also have a direct impact on the health of the community. This isn't just a vacation or a tour, this is a cultlural immersion in which you will no doubt come out of knowing more about your self and another culture and have gained experience all at the same time!
Qualifications:
Language Requirement: Intermediate level of Spanish. Language lessons can be arranged in Lima prior to beginning the placement.
