AGBU Yerevan Summer Intern Program

Term: Summer 
Dates: June 27 - August 1, 2010

Description: This summer, promising Armenian undergraduate and graduate students from around the world will be selected to participate in a five-week program in Yerevan. While in Armenia, students will intern at major companies and organizations, according to their fields of study, and participate in educational, cultural, and social activities. In addition, participants will tour AGBU projects in Armenia, and visit many cultural attractions through the country and the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.

AGBU Yerevan Summer Intern Program

Highlights:
In addition to the assigned 35 hours/week internship, the program includes:
- Armenian Language Courses, History Lectures, and Dance Lessons
- Sightseeing in Armenia's Capital City, Yerevan
- Trips to Holy Etchmiadzin, Gyumri, Lake Sevan, Dilijan, Garni, Geghard and Nagorno-Karabakh
- Meetings with Government Officials
- Tours of AGBU Projects in Armenia
- Community Service Project
- Social Programs, including Welcome and Farewell Dinners

Qualifications:
Applicants must be:
- Of Armenian descent
- At least a sophomore undergraduate or a graduate student
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Between the ages of 19 and 26
- High academic achievers (min. GPA 3.0 (B) or above)
- Conversational in Armenian
- Active participants in public service oriented activities
