Description: CEI's gap-year program is ideal for students looking for direct involvement with innovative projects that are teaching people to live more responsibly. Gap-year participants live in CEI dorms (shared by 6 people), eat in The Island School dining hall, and have access to a variety of land and water-based resources on our campus. This is a structured program that is designed to educate and inspire all students. There are additional opportunities to add-on various levels of Scuba.

Highlights: During a gap-year program at Cape Eleuthera you can:

* Learn how to live on an ecologically-friendly campus
* Interact with and maintain numerous sustainable systems
* Engage in various research projects at CEI in the wet lab and out in the field
* Develop an appreciation for Bahamian culture
* Have the chance to go on Scuba, fishing, and camping expeditions
* Develop professional skills in and out of the traditional office setting
* Eat fresh food daily from our aquaponics system
* Explore a beautiful tropical island environment
