Australia
Term: Throughout the year
Dates: Various start dates
Description:
Our internship in Australia is designed for university students and recent graduates who want to compliment their studies with structured training in the workplace. The goal of this program is for interns to better understand their industry, to distinguish their CV with professional work-place experience in an English-speaking country, and to gain confidence within their field of expertise.
Highlights:
Internship placement Participants will be placed in an internship that relates to their field of study. Participants responsibilities as interns will depend on a variety of factors such as their previous experience in their field of study, their educational background, and their command of the English language. Internships are available in the following industries: * Business Administration * Marketing * Finance * Accounting * Engineering * IT * Event Management * Music & Entertainment Management * Travel/Tourism * Environmental Management * Social Work Structured training plan The involved host companies and AIDE will prepare a structured training plan for each participant that will include the company information, location, duties/responsibilities, reporting structure, and other relevant information. Orientation All interns will participate in a mandatory orientation, taking place ONLY in Sydney, shortly after their arrival in Australia. This orientation, usually held three days a week, provides useful information about the Australian work place and culture as well as information about your host company. The orientation is given in small groups of 1 to 5 interns to allow for discussion and the opportunity to ask questions and address concerns. ** Participants are only required to go to one 3-4 hour-long session. Accommodations Participants first two nights in a hostel are included with the program, but participants are more than welcome to stay longer at their own expense. Hostels are a great setting to meet new people. The hostel that participants will be staying in is centrally located, so participants will have the opportunity explore Sydney a little. Two options are available for housing during the course of the internship: a home stay or a shared apartment. * A home stay can be arranged if your internship is located ONLY in Sydney. * There is also the option to find a shared apartment on your own, and we will provide you with useful resources to start your search.
