Description: Many of the orphans have come from homes of domestic violence; many of them don't have relatives. Poverty nowadays leaves many children abandoned. Orphanages in Peru provide orphans with daily meals, a bed and schooling, but they need people to give them attention, time and love.

Volunteers provide care for the children, helping them with their homework, workshop assignments, playtime activities, etc. Depending on your own skills and interests, volunteers are required to work at a range of orphanages and social service placements in Peru. The work will be very varied and creative - involving teaching, playing with the children, running many types of craft activities, administration, sports, teaching English.
