Dates: Internships begin the first Saturday or each month. There is a 2 week minimum duration required.

Description: Intern and gain hands-on experience in Oaxaca, Mexico. Oaxaca is a world cultural heritage site and home to Pre-Colombian archeology, Spanish colonial history and modern culture. As an intern, you will work abroad with the community and one of our affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGO's), government social programs or a self-initiated project. Your project is determined by community need as well as your skills and interests. You will be part of real, sustainable development. A designated Project Coordinator guides each intern through the project planning, execution, and conclusion phases of their program.

In addition, interns enjoy a flexible program structure which allows them to gradually increase their level of immersion. Live with a local family, take Spanish classes tailored to your level, and immerse yourself in the local culture. Programs also include cultural and adventure excursions including visits to Zapotec ruins, hikes in the mountains around Oaxaca and local festivities.
