Description:
Intern and gain real world experience in Mysore, India. Mysore was the cultural capital of the Wodeyar dynasty and is home to world renowned palaces, temples and one of the major yoga centers in India. As an intern, you will work abroad with the community and one of our affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government social programs or a self-initiated project. Your project is determined by community need as well as your skills and interests. You will be part of real, sustainable development. A designated Project Coordinator guides each intern through the project planning, execution, and conclusion phases of their program. In addition, interns enjoy a flexible program structure which allows them to gradually increase their level of immersion. Live with a local family, take Spanish classes tailored to your level, and immerse yourself in the local culture. Programs also include cultural and adventure excursions including visits to Mysore palaces and temples, trips to national parks, cultural classes, and remote community cultural festivals.
