Description:
Intern and gain real-world experience in San Ignacio, Belize. San Ignacio is an attractive market town set among tropical hills and home to a diverse population of Creole, Maya and Mestizo populations. As an intern, you will work abroad with a local community organization in the fields of the environment, the environment, and social/economic development. Your project is determined by community need and your skills and interests and working with a local Site Director, you will be a part of real, sustainable development. Students live with local homestay families in San Ignacio. Programs also include cultural and adventure excursions including visits to Mayan ruins, hikes in the lush rain forests and local festivals.
