Description: Langston is offering a six month paid teaching and studying internship that is perfect for those desiring to utilize their skills, learn Mandarin Chinese, build strong international relationships, and experience one of the most fascinating cultures in the world.

As an intern in the Langston English internship program you can expect a challenging and enlightening cross cultural experience, preparing you for life in an increasingly multicultural world. You will receive hands on experience working in a growing company with both Chinese and American management. You will receive training in a multitude of areas, and you will also be providing our Chinese students the opportunity to have quality interaction with native English speakers while learning about Chinese culture!

Your weekly schedule will consist of the following things:

* 20 hours of classroom ESL experience - You will usually be teaching small classes of adults and teens, using professional materials, and a discussion based method of training.
* 2 hours of staff meetings and training - You will receive professional training in the areas of teaching, communication, and public speaking.
* 10 hours of Mandarin Chinese training - You will be enrolled in Langston's full-time immersive Mandarin Chinese program, equivalent to more than two semesters of Chinese language study at an American University.
* 2 hours of Chinese culture and business study Langston's cross-cultural business consultants bring education to life with practical applications for real-life cultural and business problems in China.

Qualifications: We are looking for people who are flexible, hard-working, and creative. The ability to communicate effectively is a must, and you must possess excellent spoken and written English skills. Besides this we require:

* That you are a native English speaker.
* A High School Diploma or equivalent.
* That you are 18 years or older.
* That you are in good health.
* That you have a valid passport.

Those with a TEFL/TESOL certificate, a university degree, or with previous teaching experience will be given top priority.

Cost in US$: Free

Salary / Pay: Besides the free training you will also have the following benefits: *Fully furnished shared apartment - There will be two to three people (same gender) per two- to three-bedroom apartment. *2200 RMB monthly grocery stipend - This is plenty for most living costs in China. *One full week paid vacation for traveling or sight seeing - Times mutually agreed upon by Langston management and intern after arrival. *Free pick-up and drop-off in China - Langston will provide free airport or train station pick-up and drop-off, depending on how you come to Shenyang. *One week orientation and training - ESL training and acclamation assistance will be given (i.e. help understanding shopping, dining, transportation etc.) *Free activities and trips - All interns will have the opportunity to join in Langston's cultural activities and classes. *State of the art facilities - Including an Chinese/English library, multimedia computer lab, movie theater, coffeehouse, and game room. *Free internet Access - You always have access to the internet free of charge in our teacher's resource room or out in our coffee bar.
