Georgia Today is an English-language newspaper published in Tbilisi, Georgia. We have year-round openings for interns interested in journalism and writing -- Georgia Today is particularly strong in its cultural coverage. Internships are extremely flexible. Depending on the interests of the candidate, interns could become actively involved in virtually any aspect of the newspaper publishing process: writing, editing, photography, layout, advertising, etc.
Highlights:
This internship is extremely hands-on. Interns would be involved in the day-to-day aspects of running the newspaper, and would have ample opportunity to give real input and see their ideas become reality.
Qualifications:
* Excellent written English * Interest in journalism * A proactive mindset * Ability to work independently * An interest in the Caucasus region or former Soviet Union a plus * Russian and/or Georgian language abilities a plus

Cost Include Description:
Airfare is the biggest expense. Newspaper would provide accomodation in Tbilisi. The cost of living in Georgia (food, entertainment, etc) remains relatively low compared with the US and Western Europe.
