Spain
Term: Fall, Spring
Dates: Fall: late August - mid-December; Spring: early January - early May
Description:
Suffolk University Madrid offers an exceptional internship option for students who wish to enroll for two consecutive terms. The Suffolk University Madrid Campus is the Spanish "branch campus" of Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. The Madrid Campus is a full-service educational institution, fully accredited in both Spain and the U.S. Most courses are taught in English, and the small class size gives you the opportunity to receive individual attention from faculty and staff. Students are required to study in Spain for two terms in order to prepare and interview for an internship placement, along with allotted time to increase their Spanish language skills. The internship process runs like "real world" job placement and students will benefit from the career skills they receive during the application process. * The Internship Experience Students are required to study two consecutive terms in Spain. Internship options include either 20 hours a week during a semester or 40 hours a week during a summer session. During the first semester, students are preparing and interviewing for the following semester or summer term. The credits assigned to the internship will be evaluated case by case and will vary between 3 and 6. Internships are paid. During a semester, students work 20 hours a week on site in addition to a three subject course load. Summer students work 40 hours a week and take no classes.
