Description: The FU International Academy, which specialises in teaching Spanish to foreigners, opened in 2000 and belongs to the German F+U group. We are situated in the north of Tenerife in the quiet residential district of La Paz opposite the famous Botanical Garden. Our professional and experienced teachers will support you throughout the whole course. We offer a wide variety of courses: individual courses, intensive group courses or special courses such as "tourism & hotel business". You will easily find the right course for your needs.

We are also offering internships for our students for a three- to six- month internship in a hotel on Tenerife or one of the other Canary Islands with a daily working time of eight hours. There is also an intensive Spanish course with a focus on gastronomy and hotel business. Duration is four weeks. Free accommodation and food at the hotel, organised trips and common activities (hiking, BBQ, etc.), support and assistance, e.g. with authorities. We assure you a certificate in three languages and we are always there for you.

Highlights: The world grows together and it becomes more and more important to gain work experience abroad. Doing a language course and an internship in a foreign country, you not only perfect your language skills but also gain worthwhile insights into a foreign world of labour. These additional skills are of vital importance especially in the gastronomy and hotel business branch and are crucial to your later employment opportunities. We organise your internship including an intensive language course on Tenerife, one of the most popular tourist destinations with sunshine guaranteed all year round.

Qualifications: The prerequisites for an internship are age between 18 and 30 years, good knowledge of Spanish and/or English, private health and accident insurance and if you would like to complete an internship in the tourism industry, then a working experience or apprenticeship in the area of gastronomy or hotel business.
