Description:
For those desiring a rural placement, we are able to accommodate interests in Education and Health Care. Our connection with the community of Asamankese (located in the Eastern Region of Ghana) provides us with the opportunity to place much-needed volunteers within schools (Kindergarten to Junior High) or with the local hospital.
Highlights:
For this placement, volunteers will stay with a local family who will provide them with local meals and a taste of daily Ghanaian life. This placement is a good opportunity for anyone who wants to help out a rural community in a concrete way and is also interested in learning about rural realities in Ghana.
Qualifications:
* A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. * Open-minded * Self-motivated * Flexibility * Patience * Experience working with youth * Ability to adapt to a rural living situation in a developing country

Cost Include Description:
Currently the fee for a six-week placement is US$700 with discounts for longer placements. This fee covers the cost of airport pick-up, two meals daily, communal living accommodations, and 24/7 in country support throughout your stay.
