Description:
We are recruiting for interns a radio placement with Eagle FM, an independent radio station located in Cape Coast, Ghana. Duties would include working with staff to create news and talk radio broadcasts, and assisting in the technical aspects of how the radio station operates.
Highlights:
Placements will involve on-air support as well as behind the scenes support, including editing, advertising and additional support for on-air personalities. Interns are encouraged to share their creativity with local workers and interns in order to create new, innovative programs during their stay.
Qualifications:
* Experience in Radio Broadcasting (Undergraduate degree in Communications or Journalism preferred) * Exceptional interpersonal communication skills * Flexibility and an open-mind * Cultural Sensitivity * Good organizational skills * Creativity
Minimum Education: High School
Cost in US$: USD 120 a week
Cost Include Description:
All interns are housed in the Abusua Foundation house, located on the University of Cape Coast campus. Breakfast and dinner are provided at the house, 7 days a week. Rooms hold 1-2 people and the house shares 2 bathrooms. There is a communal kitchen, living area and terrace.
