Description: English Study and Internship Program

Work experience is an exciting and challenging way to improve your English, gain insight into British working life and culture and learn new skills.

This is an invaluable opportunity to improve your English and to learn new skills. Designed for students, graduates and young job seekers aged between 18-35.

There is no salary because the objectives of the program are educational and offer a chance to gain professional experience. Many employers pay for daily travel and/or lunch expenses, but this is not guaranteed.

Features
* Age range 18-35
* Fully monitored placements
* Prepare a work portfolio for a Cambridge Certificate in Work Experience
* The program is educational - work is unpaid
* Placements in sales and marketing, administration, tourism, fashion, finance, engineering, accounting, computing and IT, charities, media resources, foreign trade, hotel management and other areas.

THE PROGRAM

The program lasts from 6, 16 or 28 weeks. You begin with an English Course of 2, 4 or 14 weeks, followed by a work experience placement of 4, 12 or 14 weeks. That is,
- 2 weeks Course & 4 weeks Work Placement (6 weeks)**
- 4 weeks Course & 12 weeks Work Placement (16 weeks)**
- 14 weeks Course & 14 weeks Work Placement (28 weeks)***

Length: 6**, 16**, or 28*** weeks

WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT:

Placements are organized so that students can:
* Improve fluency by using English at work
* Develop specialized vocabulary
* Improve intercultural understanding

The work you do will depend on your level of education and qualifications, your skills and experience, and your level of English. Placements are generally in medium-sized companies in London. Job specifications and workloads vary, but you can expect to have your own responsibilities and perhaps your own project. All placements include some routine activity such as data input, photocopying and making tea and coffee. Most companies will interview you before offering you a work placement.

We ask you to specify 2 different areas of interest on your application - flexibility is needed to find a worthwhile placement.

Students are monitored during their placement and given advice to prepare a work portfolio - this leads to a Cambridge Certificate in Work Experience.

Length: 4**, 12**, or14 weeks***

LANGUAGE CLASSES:

Your Language skill is an important factor in finding a quality work placement. Students must be Upper-Intermediate or above to be eligible for the work experience programs. You can choose any of the following English courses: Standard, or Standard Plus. Most companies will want to interview you before offering you a work experience placement and you will need good English to get the most out of your experience.
