Internships: We challenge you to be part of a different kind of world by participating in a unique educational experience in an international university setting. You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge, share your experiences, learn from students from all over the world and interact with some of the best international faculty and staff. As an international student you will enjoy living at EARTH University. EARTH offers many educational opportunities at its 2 campuses in Guácimo and La Flor-Guanacaste. To be part of this program, EARTH offers two alternatives: 1. Doing your internship at a farm, 2. Working on a research project. Student Exchange: For students who are interested in complementing their studies at EARTH University, the office in International Programs (PAI) offers the opportunity to experience an educational model that promotes critical thinking, teamwork, and practical application of knowledge. As an international student you will be part of an educational model dedicated to preparestudents who are interested in protecting the environment using new and realisticmethods. You will be part of a multicultural environment where you can experience firsthand the benefits of an integrated world. Sabbaticals: The international academic program (PAI) provides the logistical support for university professors complete their sabbaticals successfully at the EARTH University campus in Guácimo, Limon located in the Atlantic region of the country and in La Flor, Liberia located in the North Pacific region of Costa Rica. Sabbaticals are approved and coordinated by the Academic Deans office. Sabbaticals are used to strengthen ties with faculty and universities interested in promoting sustainability for the environment and its communities. For that reason, EARTH is interested in facilitating exchanges to coordinate research projects, maintain relations, and encourage agreements and conferences. Professional Practicum: The International Academic Program (PAI) helps professionals organize an internship in a business or institution that shares our objectives and concerns for the wellbeing of the environment and the people of the tropical region. Through this program, PAI will contact institutions in the private or public sector in areas such as agricultural production, livestock and forestry as well as institutions dedicated to promote the development of the humid tropics. Short Courses: EARTH University, through its International Academic Program, offers students short specialized technical courses organized by international universities and professors. This program of short courses will be offered at different times throughout the year and will consist of a 3 to 4 weeks term.
