Next Step Connections Ltd offers a wide range of art placements in Shanghai, from modern boutique art galleries representing the emergence of a fantastic New Chinese Art world to the celebrated MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) where you will have the unique opportunity to work on exhibition programs, preparing press releases, organizing performances ranging from opera, concerts and dancing, but also painting, sculpture, installation and performance art. If you are passionate about art in general, you will have a chance to get a better understanding of modern Chinese art and ancient Chinese crafts while increasing your skills in the most renowned exhibition spaces. (Previous placements include new art galleries and exhibitions spaces in Mogashan Lu, Hengshan Lu, Zendai Museum and the Moma)
Highlights:
The museum of Modern Art building is 3000 square meters in size and more than half of the area is used as exhibition space. Modern facilities and academic ideas make it a new international platform for contemporary art. The functions of this museum includes exhibition, research, collection and academic exchange, as well as an international artist's studio etc. It is an open international, contemporary stage for exhibition. The museum seeks to bring the standard of China's contemporary art academia in line with the country's rate of development. In doing so, it aims to help build a native modern arts culture, to have positive input and interactive dialogue within the International Arts scene and to be pioneering and experiential in its approaches. The art institution for the Contemporary Arts is a comprehensive art center, featuring all forms and categories of art. Founded in 2007, the art institution for contemporary arts, is private institution dedicated to performing and visual arts. The art institution for contemporary arts is among rare organizations in China providing space to artists, performers, writers, directors etc.. and encourages possibility of cross-disciplinary dialogue.
