Global Seekers Development Expeditions (GSDE) is a volunteer and learning adventures organization committed to promoting meaningful travel and supporting sustainable development in developing countries with a special focus on Africa. Volunteer program: Global Seekers Development Expeditions (GSDE) offers variety of volunteer opportunities for people looking for 2 to 12 weeks voluntary work in Kenya and Tanzania. Participants can gain enriching and positive life changing experience. GSDE program will offer you so much more than just volunteer and travel, it is an experience of connection, sharing your live, skills, learning and building bridges with African. We work in partnership with communities, development organizations, schools, health centres and self-help groups who provide volunteer placements. Our host organizations or partners are carefully selected to ensure that they can provide a meaningful experience to program participants and the partners benefit from volunteer's work. We welcome all those seeking to make the world a better place. Volunteer placements All our volunteer placements are designed to give volunteers the opportunity to make an impact on local communities at grassroots level. Volunteer work includes: * Youth counselling and leadership skills training * HIV/AIDS Intervention and Outreach Worker * Street children outreach and serve in orphanages * Teaching Assistant or teach English, crafts, music, arts in elementary or secondary schools. You do not need a teaching certificate, but you need to be enthusiastic, committed and creative * Sports- training soccer and basket ball * Information technology (IT)/ computer operation trainer * Community Development Worker * Work with women self-help group to research, help to plan and develop social and economic development initiatives * Nursing and health education * Building, construction and renovation of school facilities * Environment protection and nature conservation * Micro credit and small business management training * Farming working in small scale tea and dairy farm in the rural Kenya community * Community theatre and arts * Community Resources Centre assist in researching, creating educational health, environment, career and community development resources. * Working with vulnerable women and youth to train job skills and to establish small income generating projects that empowers them to become self dependent. * Research in health, environment and nature conservation Internship program: In a world of competition where thousands of graduates are lining up for the top jobs, Internships are a critical component of career exploration. Internship can help you gain valuable work experience, because more and more employers look for internship experience when hiring. GSDE develops and administers Kenya internship program for students and professionals in areas of community development, health care, environment studies, nature conservation, teaching, and business management all year around. The internship program provides interns with practical skills and experience through their placement in their field of study or career. GSDE partners with communities, development organizations, schools, health centres and self-help groups who provide placements. Our partners are carefully selected and we work closely with them to ensure that participants get meaningful experiences. We believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and so, our program are not limited to students, we welcome participants 18 and older of all nationalities. Health GSDE accepts no responsibility for costs that can arise from illness and/or accident incurred during the internship. A certificate or a letter of fitness, dully signed and stamped by a qualified doctor, must be submitted by the intern before starting an internship.

Internship: Four weeks US$1545 Twelve weeks - US$2625Volunteer: Two weeks US$790, CD$830 Four weeks US$1580, CD$1660 Twelve weeks US$2370, CD$2485 Extended program fee: US$200, CD$215 for every week thereafter.
