Description: Wondering how to keep afloat in unfamiliar waters?

We offer work placements in the sales, consulting, human resources, export, merchandising, trading and business development departments of high-profile companies in China.

You will get involved with the daily operations of your company and will find yourself attending important meetings, working on new projects, meeting clients. You might be given important responsibilities from the start of your placement. Take every challenge offered and experience a unique insight on business in one of the most exciting city in the world.

Highlights: Past internships and projects include:

1.) Analyze a large automotive engineering companies current business and develop a financial model that facilitates the following functions:
- Accurate quoting for new business proposals based on a sound understanding of the cost base and profit margin for each of the companies services
- Accurate tracking of project based spend against agreed budgets to ensure:
    * Profit targets are met
    * A performance related bonus can be paid to key employees

2.) Gain understanding and seek confirmation of the presence and promotion of a US based water brand that has recently launched in Shanghai
- Understand the target consumer base
- Determine consumer preferences
- Deliver final recommendations on areas for the water brand to focus on moving forward

3.) Assist team to set up and run a research project for a 4A international advertising company representing a large pharmaceutical brands newly launched promotional campaign
- Gather information to create statistical charts on targeted areas reach and success rates
- Find out how consumers are responding and set up a proposal to do further consumer focus group research

- Fluent in English (Mandarin is not mandatory except for a few placements, in which it is specified)
