Description:
Orphanage Assistance. Orphans are deprived of many opportunities necessary for their development. Through education and compassion, children are empowered to challenge a life of further poverty and exploitation. Volunteers provide basic daily care for the orphans and are also encouraged to actively participate in programs such as health education, games, drawing, and painting. With such a variety of ways to participate, the orphanage experience provides volunteers many meaningful ways to approach service.
Highlights:
Since CWPC is currently trying to expand its operation and funding base, it would welcome someone with creativity and initiative and some knowledge of international development issues and a good way with words to work as a full-time fundraiser during their placement here. This would involve researching for fundraising possibilities on the internet, writing proposals, contacting foundations and possible private sponsors, taking stock of current situation and communicating with local businesses and NGOs to find other funding possibilities. There would, of course, also be time to play with our beautiful children, we can always provide variety& In return we can give invaluable insights into the workings of a small NGO, good references and experience and the reward of knowing you have truly helped our children.

Children home of Nepal's Mission Statement: The Children home of Nepal is a social non-for profit organization. It is an inevitable truth that the number of street children has been increasing drastically due to the prevailing poverty of state, ignorance, illiteracy and the socio- economics condition of the people.
A 24 hours care home has been established to provide shelter, food, education, medical care and other activities for the helpless children from different parts of country so that each child can enter into the society as a self sufficient adult. It directly helps to preserve the human right of the particular child to have basic needs and the basic education.
