Internships in Tanzania

Highlights: To perform a program, in Tanzania, itself is a life long experience. The participant will familiarize with the local societies and cultures, encounter one of the most beautiful countries in the world with Indian Ocean beached and islands, world famous game reserves (we perform all the safari & adventure programs available in the country at inter/volunteer prices), can visit old tribal cultures as Masai (we also work in Masai land) and at the volunteer's/intern's houses one will meet participants all over the world. The combination is attractive and many of the participants actually come back, not necessary to continue the work but to meet friends made.

Qualifications: These programs are for the students to perform their practical training or the degree holders who are looking for experience. Programs are also feasible for the professionals who want to have a break in their work. We tailor the post according to the background of the participant. Therefore the actual existing qualifications of the participant will be the major factor to find her/him a feasible placement in Tanzania. Aside of the professional qualifications the participant need to be aware that in a developing country work is not performed as effectively as in Western world. Therefore one needs to be patient and capable to develop her/his work picture independently as well.

Art in Tanzania's Mission Statement: Volunteering and adventure tours in Tanzania. Helping poor and underprivileged. Supporting arts and music. To enhance the livelihood of the rural villages, orphans, women and tribal people as the Masai tribe. We also perform environmental projects as introducing fire bricks made of waste materials to avoid forest cutting for charcoal. We operate in grass root level so the work is easy to attend to all volunteers. We finance our operations with the small profits from the attending volunteers as well as from our other financial resources as from meaningful safaris.

Year Founded: 2004
