Internship and Study Abroad Program: Journalism or Communications

The AJT program offers the following components:

* Internship (News Editorial, Public Relations, Magazine, Advertising, Photojournalism, Online/ Convergence & Broadcast)

Internship and Study Abroad Program: Journalism or Communications

Highlights: Secure the skills that you need to land that international dream job. A graduate with not only a comprehension of the Spanish language and culture, but also an understanding of the values and issues currently confronting the populations of both English and Spanish-speaking countries is in high demand. The skills and qualities obtained in the AJT program will make you a highly sought-after candidate in the new global workforce.

Participants will be placed in an internship specifically catered to the applicants qualifications and interests, as well as one that has a professional relationship with the AJT program.

AJT 2010 Summer (May) Program, May 23 - Aug. 15 (12 weeks)

AJT 2010 Fall (August) Program, Aug. 22 - Dec. 12

AJT 2011 Spring (January) Program, Jan. 16 - May 8

Degree Level: Bachelors Degree (Undergraduate)

Qualifications: Students may be credit or non-credit seeking. Recent graduates are permitted. Students must: be 18 years of age and have proof of insurance. Type of internship and responsibilities depend on Spanish proficiency.

A completed application includes:
* AJT Application Form
* AJT Language Evaluation
* AJT Agreement (signed)
* University Transcript
* Photocopy of front and back of credit/debit card
* Photocopy of front cover and photo page of Passport
* 3 clips / writing samples (e-mailed as attachments) or 12 photos (for photojournalists).
* Resume (relevant experience only)
