Description: Gain valuable real-world experience in bilingual journalism and photojournalism. Intern at a media outlet, gain career skills, get published, and receive academic credit for your work in dynamic Argentina. The AJT program offers the following components:

* Internship (News Editorial, Public Relations, Magazine, Advertising, Photojournalism, Online/ Convergence & Broadcast)
* Interactive city tour/ Spanish refresher
* Fully furnished apartment with phone, high-speed internet and cable
* 2-Week intensive Spanish immersion
* Weekly Spanish courses
* International Journalism Seminars
* Airport pick-up/ drop-off

Americas Journalism Training, Inc. - Internship/Study Abroad

Highlights: Gain skills that will land you the international job of your dreams. A journalist with a comprehension of the Spanish language and culture, familiarity with the values, problems and issues confronting this population - both in English-speaking and in Latin countries - is in high demand today. These skills and qualities will make you a highly sought-after candidate in global media.

Participants will be placed in one of a number of different work experience sites where AJT has arranged a professional training program. Or, an AJT staff member will locate a unique position based on the applicant's specific qualifications and interests.

The professional experience will consist of a 25-hour work week. Schedules, days and duties are dependent upon the needs of the media outlet. Please contact us for more information on AJT's past professional experience sites or read further on the AJT web page.

Qualifications: Students may be credit or non-credit seeking. Students must: be 18 years of age, have some Spanish background, have proof of insurance. Type of internship and responsibilities depend on Spanish proficiency.

A completed application includes:
* AJT Application Form
* AJT Language Evaluation
* AJT Agreement (signed)
* AJT Payment Form (signed)
* Photocopy of front and back of credit/debit card.
* 3 clips/ writing samples (e-mailed as attachments) or 6 photos (for photojournalists).
* Resume (relevant experience only).
