Description:
Teach at a boarding school for grades K- 11 for children struck by the Turkish earthquake. This co-educational school opened in 1998 and serves mostly Turkish children, but also enrolls a substantial number of international students of other nationalities. Duties include assisting teachers, teaching English, tutoring students, helping with club activities, and providing a bridge to the West for the students while encouraging them to use English as much as possible. There are also opportunities to coach, teach theater arts, or other specialties. Possible dates: Top Preference: September- June; Second Preference: September-February or January-June; Third Preference: September-December or January- April
Highlights:
There is the opportunity to learn Turkish and a small stipend is given monthly.
Qualifications:
- Commitment of a three month (1 semester) stay. - Prefer individuals with extra involvement or talent, such as theater, music, sports, etc. Teaching experience is a plus.

The $750 is a one time fee that includes the internship placement, pre-departure orientation and reliable in-country resources.
Salary / Pay: In exchange for work, the school provides free room and board plus a monthly stipend.
