Description:
Viva Publishing Network afford Interns the opportunity to do any / all of the following, in its office-based Editorial Internship: - Research and fact checking of details - Writing content for guidebooks and the website - Editing of content on the website and for guidebooks - Laying out of content in guidebooks in Adobe InDesign In addition, if you have and aptitude in different areas, for example in design or writing of different kinds of copy such as sales materials, there are opportunities to take on additional projects.
Highlights:
This is not an internship where you will be performing menial tasks such as filing. During this internship you will: * Get published! * Gain genuine, hands-on experience in the travel writing industry * See the development and creation of books through from start to finish * Have the chance to put yourself forward for projects or opportunities that you might not get in larger companies. * Know that your opinion counts - we value our interns very highly Viva will also help you with your college credit.
Qualifications:
Abilities and experience required for the internship are: - Ability to write in a captivating style - Editing skills - Web savvy, and ability to pick up new computer programs rapidly - Research skills - Ability to write and speak at an intermediate level of Spanish - Adobe Photoshop - basic knowledge - Adobe InDesign - desirable, not essential. Some knowledge of Desktop Publishing Programs extremely useful. - Adobe Illustrator - desirable, not essential. - A flexible approach to work is essential

Salary / Pay: We are able to help with college credit.
For longer internships (6 months) a small monthly allowance is provided that covers the majority of your living expenses.
