Description:
ELI works with several organizations in Hanoi devoted to helping the community strengthen itself and develop to its full potential. Volunteers can assist by teaching vocational courses or by assisting with the research and implementation of sustainable development and poverty reduction programs. Examples of projects participants may become involved with: * Curriculum development for vocational training designed for marginalized groups. * Practical business training for microloan recipients * Teaching marketable skills to marginalized groups such as school dropouts, the unemployed, ethnic minorities, people living with HIV/AIDS, and commercial sex workers * Researching and implementing sustainable development projects focused on poverty reduction * Editing translated documents * Writing grant proposals and networking to find new funding sources
