Description:
IVDN medical program incorporates the student's knowledge of pharmacology, immunology, pathology, cytology etc. This knowledge is narrowed to a clinician's perspective as they actively participate in major (Consultant's) ward rounds between 8am and 11am. The hospital will allow you to interact, clerk, examine patients and formulate management of various conditions under supervision of hospital's Medical Officers (an equivalent of Senior House Officer) and consultants. Students are involved in giving health talks, junior clerkship for those interested, immunizations of under 5 age group, distribution of de-worming drugs and many other duties that would be tailored to meet the pre-clinical students curriculum requirements. Students will be attending ward rounds between 8:00am-12:00 noon or any other time deemed official by the authorities concerned.
