Description:
Our Spanish Immersion and ESL Teaching program gives program participants the chance to take an intensive Spanish course and and teach English abroad. Our ESL teaching interns are placed at local schools in Buenos Aires where they assist the English language staff and work directly with their students. This program is especially beneficial for future and current English or Spanish teachers as it provides invaluable classroom and language experience. Not only are you improving your teaching skills, you are providing an invaluable experience for a child learning English. After you register for the program, we will ask that you submit a copy of your resume, including any previous teaching experience and language qualifications. We then confirm your ESL teaching internship and provide you with specific placement details. ESL teaching at high schools and elementary schools in available from March to mid-December. There is an option to teach at a language institute during the remaining months. Road 2 Argentina is now offering scholarships for our semester, volunteer, Spanish immersion, and internship programs. The scholarships are merit-based and are open to any program participant. Applying is easy! Highlights:
Our Intensive Spanish Program is ideal for university students or travelers looking to learn Spanish rapidly, well, and in an immersion environment. With an average class size of 5-10 students, you will receive personalized attention from the professor and ample opportunity to participate. Class is Monday-Friday, 3 hours/day, for a total of 60 hours of instruction/month. Program duration is 1 to 6 months. Each month is equivalent to an entire semester Spanish course at regular university pace, meaning that you may finish 3 to 4 Spanish courses while spending the summer in Buenos Aires. Taking Spanish courses with us allows you to transfer an average of 9-12 credits to your home university. Daily lessons emphasize a range of skills including: listening, reading, writing, oral comprehension, culture, current events and history.
