Do you have a mind for international adventure but a heart for the comforts of home? If so, Global Service Corps (GSC) invites you into our "homey" work environment to help coordinate various international service programs designed to improve the well-being of the Earth and its' inhabitants. You will be learning about the operations of a small non-profit and, at the same time, helping to bring our world together. Primary Responsibilities of Tanzania Program Intern: * Answer prospective volunteer participant inquiries * Correspond with Tanzania In-Country Coordinator * Recruit and register new participants, prepare and mail information packets, track participant forms and update participant information in the database * Assist in the development of the organization
Highlights:
Hours and length of commitment: 20 hours per week for a period of six months. Compensation: Expense reimbursement of $200 per month in addition to limited local transportation reimbursement. 50% off program fees for any GC program in Tanzania upon completion of six month commitment.
Qualifications:
* Personal or educational background in East Africa, preferably in Tanzania * PC computer skills: MS Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook * Customer service and organizational skills, flexibility
Salary / Pay: Expense reimbursement of $200 per month in addition to limited local transportation reimbursement.
