Description:
Agricultural Experience USA is an international exchange programme that combines practical "hands-on" experience in agriculture with an academic experience through the University of Minnesota. Agricultural Experience USA began in 1949 with a direct exchange of agricultural students from Minnesota and Sweden. Since then, more than 5,500 trainees from over 65 countries have participated in the programme.
Highlights:
In addition to the practical and academic training, trainees will learn about daily life in the United States, make friends form around the world, and gain an appreciation of their own and others' cultures. Programme Alumni value the friendships they make with Americans as well as people from all over the world.
Qualifications:
* Single, 21 to 29 years of age, with consideration given to applicants ages 18 to 32
* In good health, without limitation that would prohibit participating fully in training activities
* Completed secondary school
* Minimum two years practical "hands-on" experience in chosen field since the age of 16
* Speak conversational English
* Commitment to the programme
