An exciting and easily maneuverable European city, London is a major political, financial and cultural center, graced with more parks and gardens than any other capital in the world. The AIFS London Internship program is highly competitive and provides vital insights into a career field, experience in the global workplace, practical exposure to demands of specific jobs, and development of professional and personal skills. Working side by side with Londoners is a great way to gain insight into another culture, understand different approaches and prepare for the realitieis of working in a multicultural and interdependent world. AIFS students have interned at companies such as E! Enterntainment, CNBC Europe, Radisson Edwardian Hotels, Sotheby's, and the Travel Channel. In addition to the interships, students take the required Contemporary British Culture course and have the option of taking one or two additional courses. The program fees include the basics and the extras: tuition, housing, some meals, airfare if selected, a trip to Paris, and more.
Highlights:
Students live in university residence halls, with 10 meals per week at the Richmond cafeteria included in the fee. Cultural activities may include a visit to Shakespeare's re-constructed Globe Theatre, Stonehenge, Arthurian sites in Wales, and the EU Pariliament/NATO in Brussels. Students benefit from the multicultural faculty and student body; students from over 100 different nations enrich classroom discussions, creating a truly international experience.

Qualifications:
The AIFS London Internship program is open to college juniors and seniors currently enrolled in a full-time degree program at an approved university. Students must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher (3.0 for students seeking a placement in finance) and at least 75 semester credits (105 quarter credits) by the time of admission.
