Come with a Friend and Save 300 USD by mentioning this notice on your application. We believe that one year of experience abroad is worth 5 years of experience in any other type of activity. Our EFL posts are given out at a centrally-located, up-market school located in the heart of Madrid in a 19th century palace. Based on your qualifications and a personal interview you will be guaranteed a spot even if you haven't experience in the field. You have two choices: A) Spanish Course + EFL Certificate Training Program (2.5 months to 6 months) B) Spanish Course + Paid EFL Internship (4 - 6 months) All candidates begin with an intensive Spanish language classes for 2 weeks (40 lessons) to help you adapt, followed by an internship with 40 hours of in-class shadowing and 4 or 5 workshops on EFL teaching methodology. After this initial training period you are evaluated and either continue with another training session or go into a teaching post with 60% salary (gross 488 euros/month). After the first 3 months you can opt for re-evaluation and if you pass, go into a 100 % salaried position (approx. 800 euros/month gross). We are not an employment agency but our posts are often a stepping stone to employment with this firm and a way to ease oneself into living in Europe.
Qualifications:
The posts are open to either fully-qualified and experienced EFL teachers or students wishing to gain crucial experience in the field. The conditions vary according to your qualifications, talents and experience. You need not be a native speaker, nor speak Spanish to apply. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a university degree. The minimum commitment is 3 months, with an option to renew. Renewals are free with the exception of insurance.

* Full coverage medical and accident insurance * Intensive Spanish course at our downtown fully-equipped language school for 4 hours/day, 5 days a week, 2 weeks; Intern placement in EFL * Reservation and screening service for inexpensive or free lodging; Limited bureaucracy * Non-competitive admission * Tutor for academic and professional affairs * Testing, certificates, materials, texts and limited free Internet access while at the school * Screening of all companies * Airport transfers (Certificate Program) * Local phone, fax and e-mail data will be provided in case of need * Orientation packet: includes tourist info, city information, transportation and communication details -- including a map and explanation of the Metro in Madrid, etc. * Membership in an International Friendship club that organizes activities and many free services and discounts.Participants are responsible for their lodging and transportation fees.
Salary / Pay: 10 Euros/day after initial 40 hour training, possibility of evaluating into 60% salary scale until end of internship.
