We launched Connect-123 International Internships to bridge the gap between those wanting an extraordinary international internship experience and the organizations in Cape Town needing talented, diverse individuals to work on short-term projects.

Cape Town has something for everyone. Nature lovers can explore national parks, picturesque botanical gardens, historic winelands, and endless stretches of the Atlantic and Indian Ocean coasts. Adventure-seekers can sail, paraglide, surf, bungee jump, shark cage dive, sandboard, cycle, climb, run, paddle, and swim their way around the Western Cape at any time of the year. Wild African game safaris are within a two-hour drive. And the social scene is not to be missed, from affordable, world-class restaurants on the Waterfront to mingling with local students at popular Long Street clubs.

Cape Town is also a city of sharp contrasts, where you can explore issues of social change and diversity and learn about new cultures.

Qualifications: Connect-123 internships are tailor-made for students, graduates, and professionals in any field. Based on your specific interests and goals, we will find a unique work experience that best meets your needs.

Cost in US$: $1,295

Salary / Pay: Connect-123 arranges unpaid internships for students and professionals looking to gain valuable work experience in Cape Town. Unfortunately, South African law prohibits non-residents from receiving any income during their stay in South Africa without a valid work permit.

Connect-123 Internship & Volunteer Programs's Mission Statement: Connect-123 develops and administers volunteer, internship, and work/study programs for undergraduate and graduate students in Cape Town, South Africa. We believe that students learn best by doing and all programs have a strong "real world" work component. Accredited semester study abroad programs are offered through the University of Cape Town, while non-credit bearing internship and volunteer opportunities are hosted by local companies, non-profit organizations, research institutes and health care clinics.
