Internship in Thailand
Thailand
Term: Throughout the year
Dates: 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month - all year
Description:
Global Crossroad organizes the internship program for international students in several areas in Thailand. Global Crossroad can offer internships in any areas related to Thailand in collaboration with our local partners who work in the different areas. Areas of internship include (but are not limited to): * Traditional Thai Arts * Natural Medicine and Ethno- botany * Environment and Conservation * HealthTeaching * Women studies * Development studies * Journalism * Thai language * Report Writing * Handicraft * Buddhism & many more Under the internship program, the intern engages in the daily activities of a project. In most of the cases, interns develop a report paper in a particular area of interest by working closely with the project's staff. Generally, the director of the project serves as a supervisor for the intern. As an intern, you stay with host families near the project. Most of the time, the director of the project or other assigned professionals work to help you to complete your report. Please contact Global Crossroad if you need any help locating information and materials for your internship program. Global Crossroad recommends two weeks of language and culture programs for interns. It provides you a comprehensive start in exploring the issues of Thailand. Many times, language difficulties hinder the effectiveness of interning. Furthermore, it is possible to organize extra tutorials with experts of particular areas with additional fees. Global Crossroad suggests that you correspond with us if you have special needs for your internship.
Highlights:
A tropical nation in the heart of Southeast Asia, Thailand is an exotic land full of mountains, plains, beaches, and forests. With such a vast array of lands to explore, the beautiful Thailand appears almost like a kaleidoscope of different worlds mixed together. Here, a traveler can choose to relax on the white sandy beaches, delve into the lush jungles, or even experience the city life of the busy, cultural garden of Bangkok. And Thailand, a nation far from the customs and cultures of the western world, is a very friendly place for visitors. The natives are kind, the activities are countless, and the food is extraordinary. Whether you go for the unique culture, sights, or tastes, Thailand offers something for everyone. Our volunteer in Thailand program offers opportunities to involve in Thai culture, encounter friendly townsfolk, support local people, and take part in a new, exciting way of life that includes visiting a local family's rubber processing farm and cooking traditional Thai cuisine. After that, dabble in some herbal medical techniques complete with invigorating massage therapy, or even take part in a short-term temple stay in one of the beautifully ornate temples. Come and join the Thailand Volunteer program and enjoy the charms of Asia.
